We proposed an exploration degree to measure the ambidextrousness of R&D organization that is calculated by social network analysis and text analytics method. This paper describes the relationship between the exploration degree based on the algorithm and some indices related to the personnel distribution of group members. As a result, the characteristics of the organizational structure that lead to a high degree of exploration is revealed.
