Similarity Coefficients and their Evaluation by Multi-Dimensional Scaling Methods

Abstract

The authors extended the contingency table by applying fuzzy set theory and defined a fuzzy contingency table (type-1/type-2 fuzzy contingency table). By using type-1/type-2 fuzzy contingency table, we obtain similarity coefficients. In this paper, we propose a similarity calculation method using the fuzzy contingency table and an evaluation method of similarity coefficients using a multidimensional scaling method and evaluate the similarity of simulated data as a simulation of the method.
