Abstract

In general, fuzzy information such as human relationships can be analyzed effectively by applying fuzzy theory. The responses of each item obtained through surveys are summarized in a contingency table. Here, the relevance and similarity of each item are analyzed, and by representing them as a fuzzy graph, the relevance and similarity structure of the whole item can be effectively grasped. In this paper, we show from the contigency table that the fuzzy operation of Product and Lukasiewicz t-norm corresponds to that of natural distance of dissimilarity when Simple Matching is used. In this sense, Simple Matching using Product and Lukasiewicz t-norm can be called a “distance type similarity coefficient”.
