Abstract

This paper focuses on situations in which learners receive feedback from a robot as a means to enhance their intrinsic motivation, and investigates the impact of the robot displaying a smiling facial expression on that motivation.In the experiment, participants engage in eight different game tasks, each followed by feedback from the robot.
