Abstract

The gastropexy device enables the safe conduct of introducer percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG). We present a rare case of misplacement through the transverse colon using the gastropexy device. A 60-year-old man presented with persistent bleeding, for which computed tomography (CT) was performed. CT accidentally revealed the involvement of the transverse colon after PEG. We released the stricture caused by the string of the gastropexy device via colonoscopy. In this case, we used the gastropexy device cautiously and safely. However, such a device may contribute to the accidental puncture of the transverse colon.
