Subducted slab contains two types of water; pore water (H2O) and mineral-bounded water (OH). The former has been expelled at shallow depth and the latter has released by decomposition of OH-bearing mineral at elevated temperature and pressure. Jarrard (2003) and Hacker (2008) has revealed the water budget of the subduction zones of the earth. We interpret the water circulation model of the two subduction zones; SW-Japan and NE-Japan arcs where distinctive differences on the fluid circulations are found between the two. And we show the areal distribution of the slab fluid mixed into groundwater using Li-Cl-Br indicator. And we try to show the consistency of the observational areal variation of slab fluid upwelling and the water circulation models.
