Abstract

We measured the Raman spectra of calcite. The Raman spectrum of calcite identified peaks at 1086 cm-1, 1075 cm-1 and 1065 cm-1. The 1075 cm-1 peak is considered to be 12C16O16O17O. In this study, the wavenumber positions of CO32- were calculated using density functional theory and the peak at 1075 cm-1 was identified from the oxygen isotope ratio value determined from the peak intensity ratio.
