Abstract
Recently, nature has been attracting attention in the tourism industry, and a system is urgently needed to realize “sustainable tourism”. In this paper, we focus on some regions with national parks, with the aim of presenting a model that can be used as a reference for DMOs (Destination Management/ Marketing Organizations), which are in charge of creating tourism regions, to build a consensus with various stakeholders in order to work on both utilization and conservation. The research method was to develop an SD model that quantitatively shows the causal relationships among tourism, environment, and administrative indicators for national parks by using regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the existing data that could be collected were insufficient to construct this model, and that it was difficult to show the relationship with other indicators because of the small quantitative changes in the environmental indicators newly added in this study.
