Abstract
Wheelchair users go out less frequently than able-bodied people. One of the reasons for this is thought to be the lack of information on the safety of appropriate outing routes. On the other hand, with the development of map applications, it has become possible to obtain detailed information on travel routes through information posted by application users. In order to increase the amount of high-quality barrier-free information on map apps, we conducted a survey on the awareness of map apps among able-bodied people, and on the difficulty of posting information on map apps. As a result, it was found that the condition to enhance barrier-free information that leads to safe, secure, and easy mobility for wheelchair users who have barriers to mobility by utilizing existing platform map applications is to reduce the amount of effort required to post the information. The results also suggest that the environment in which the images are taken influences the ease of posting.
