The protection movement of the global environment by reducing petroleum consumption and CO2 emission is the important problem for all industries including the tire manufacture.
Our company decided the concept of developing fossil resource-free tire in 2000. We have already launched two kinds of tire which raised the ratio of fossil resource-free materials. The ratio of fossil resource-free material was able to be raised even to 70% in 2006, and the ratio was able to be raised to 97% in 2008. And then, we have completed and announced the technology of raising the ratio of fossil resource-free material to 100% by using natural material modification and biomass conversion technologies.
