Abstract
Grassland, the Earth’s second-largest vegetative cover on land after forests, is crucial in supporting animal husbandry and contributes significantly to biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation, and sustainable human development. The increasing impact of climate change and human activities on grassland ecosystems has become a subject of great concern due to the potential degradation they face. In a recent scientific study by Allah (2023), the research progress on grassland ecosystems in China has been summarized from five key perspectives: vegetation, soil, hydrology, climate, and soil animals.
