Abstract
The urban heat island (UHI) effect refers to the temperature increase in urban areas caused by human activities and urbanization, significantly impacting the urban microclimate, ecological environment, and public health. With the intensifying effects of global climate change, the influence of the UHI effect has become more pronounced, posing severe challenges to urban management and sustainable development. This paper explores the impact of climate change on the UHI effect and analyzes health risks faced by various socioeconomic groups. This analysis proposes future research directions to provide urban managers and policymakers with scientific insights.
