Commercially available fiber posts have tooth-like white color and are difficult to recognize it from the core when removes the post in need of endodontic treatment. Then, to recognize fiber post from core composite we propose a fiber post with pulp-like light pink color. The aim of this study was to confirm that a pulp-like colored fiber post was easier to remove than a conventional tooth-like colored fiber post.
The tooth-like colored fiber post was difficult to be distinguished from composite resin around the post. On the other hand, the pulp-like colored fiber post was easy to recognize. The operation time for removing pulp-like colored fiber posts was shorter than that of translucent and dentin-like colored fiber posts.
