Neutron scattering has been established as one of the most important methods for the analysis of materials, and has been applied to the engineering fields since it has many advantages compared with X-ray. However, it is necessary to reduce the measuring time on some condition in order to spread its applications to the wider engineering fields. Pulse neutron, which is produced by J-PARC, dose not only solve this problem, but also provides the unique micromechanical data of the deeper region for many engineering materials and deformed components on real conditions.J-PARC is expected to contribute to spread the applications of the neutron scattering technique.
