1) It was observed that Tibione inhibited continuously the growth of elongationforms of avian tubercle bacilli from early growth phase and PAS later and temporally, but Streptomycin selectively only the growth of their fission-forms. Therefore, in the case of Streptomycin the length of rods seems to be more and more elongated.
2) Tibione seems to act directly to avian tubercle bacilli and to provocate not only the constriction of rods and the decrease of the staining properties, but the change of the number and arrangement of their granules and varied forms of bacillary bodies.
PAS seems to act also likewise and to provocate the conciderably marked change of bacillary bodies and their granules.
Streptomycin seems to provocate the remarkable elongation of rods followed by the increase of their granules.
