Calymperes boulayi (Calymperaceae) newly found from Japan

Abstract

  Calymperes boulayi Besch. is reported from Hahajima Island, the Ogasawara (Bonin) Islands, Tokyo, Japan. This report is a new addition to the Japanese bryophyte flora. The locality of Hahajima Island is considered to be the northern limit of the species distribution. Based on the Japanese materials, a description, figures and notes of this species are given.
