Abstract
Global warming has been of most important problems making must solve. Global warming results from the release of carbon dioxide and it is necessary to reduce amount of the emission of carbon dioxide. Most of carbon dioxide is from cars, such as private cars, trucks and so on. In the area of physical distribution, the of the policy of Model Shift that we should carry a part of cargos which are carried by trucks by railroads, cargo ships and ferry boats is called out, in order to decrease traffic volume of trucks. In this study, we analyze a model shift to the ferry boats the origin or destination of which is in Kyushu by physical distribution census data. We propose enlarging lot size of the cargos as a way for model shift an effect of this way.
