Basic Research on Countermeasure for Marine Collisions where a Pilot was Involved

Abstract

We investigate “Pilot accident”, accidents which happen while pilots are guiding, and present a measure to reduce any kinds of marine accidents. This paper could contribute to a pilot education in the future. And then, the countermeasures could extend to an ordinary vessels as well as pilots on board vessels.
