Abstract

This paper’s purpose is to clarify why the collision between the migrant caravan and the U.S. government is occurring through deepening Honduras, the country where the migrants originate, and the U.S., the country where the migrants aim to go. It has become apparent that Honduran migrants need to leave their home countries, which are infested with poverty, violence, chaos, and mistrust, in order to survive, rather than to seek the United States. On the other hand, although the U.S. has a history of accepting immigrants, there have been repeated antimigrant movements due to the increasing number of immigrants.
