The purpose of this study is to clarify the current situation and issues regarding the sport environment on a remote island, focusing on the table tennis club of National College of Technology A, which has achieved noteworthy results on O Island in H Prefecture. The method of the research was a questionnaire survey of the members of the table tennis club of National College of Technology A and an interview survey of the coach. The results can be summarized in the following three points. 1) The burden of sea transportation by ship caused by starting from remote islands when participating in games and competitions. 2) The table tennis club of National College of Technology A, located on O Island, has excellent practice facilities due to the two environments of being on a remote island and a national college of technology. 3) The table tennis club of National College of Technology A faces the problem of a lack of instructors, but this is being alleviated by the support of the local community on a remote island.

This paper clarifies the identity of KOSEN education system by comparing it with vocational education at the secondary and tertiary levels in other countries.
In ” Quality of KOSEN Education from Comparative Perspective - A Preliminary Analysis - (2021),” the authors listed the identities of KOSEN by organizing the information on KOSEN disseminated in Japan and overseas. Among the identities, five comparisons’ points were set: 1) enrollment, 2) graduates, qualifications, career paths, 3) fields of study, 4) curriculum and 5) academic qualifications of faculty, and compared with vocational education in Germany, England, and France. Based on the above comparison, this paper attempts to further examine the identities of KOSEN by comparing them with those of Southeast Asian countries, specifically Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
As a result, it is revealed that 1) KOSEN aims to educate engineers and 2) provide opportunities for students to go on to higher education, 3) accept students from general education schools, 4) have a consistent five-year curriculum, and 5) require high academic standards and work experience to their faculty members.

The purpose of the present study is to clarify English learning motivation of maritime Kosen college students by examining the similarities and differences between the three academic departments. A total of 120 first-year students participated in a freeform questionnaire on their motivations for learning English. The result of text-mining with KH Coder showed the students from all academic departments not only had common motivations such as “career”, “communication”, and “future needs” but also shared less intrinsic motivation and a lack of interest in and admiration for English-speaking countries. There was no noticeable difference in the motivations for learning English between the three academic departments. Therefore, it became clear that the students’ motivations for learning English are highly common.

This paper’s purpose is to clarify why the collision between the migrant caravan and the U.S. government is occurring through deepening Honduras, the country where the migrants originate, and the U.S., the country where the migrants aim to go.
It has become apparent that Honduran migrants need to leave their home countries, which are infested with poverty, violence, chaos, and mistrust, in order to survive, rather than to seek the United States. On the other hand, although the U.S. has a history of accepting immigrants, there have been repeated antimigrant movements due to the increasing number of immigrants.

I have been teaching English at Kosen. I used to be an English teacher at a junior high school and a senior high school. I would like to report on how I am making use of that experience. I would like my students to learn as many English sentences as possible, but it is not easy. I am still in the process of trial and error, but I hope to find a good way.

In our college, there are many materials related to the logistics and distribution of ”ships and islands” that can feel a lot of history. For these materials, the work of digitization is progressing, and we believe that it will beeffectively used not only for an education of maritime technology but also for various applications. In this paper, we describe the development of digital archive for ”historical materials of ships and islands” and provide these materials to more people.
We have set up a web server and created web pages based on the WordPress. It is also applied to community education using the materials

The Madhava-Gregory-Leibniz series is an infinite series expansion of the circle ratio π. This is provided by Taylor expansion of arctan x. Also, we can see the series in the range of high school mathematics.
However, in these processes we can not directly see the relation with π. While being fascinated by the beauty of the equation, it is for this reason that there is something which doesn’t fall in a mind. Therefore, in this paper, we derive the series briefly by using the method of subdividing the area of the circle known in India and the definite integration of high school mathematics. Furthermore, in the process, we have a visual understanding of the series by corresponding the expressions and the area.
