The mechanical physical-properties examinations on a club shaft are of much importance in the application not only to the unbending of a club shaft but to the swing itself. With this in mind, the mechanical experiments were carried out on the shaft by means of adding various weights to the club head. The following were recognized through the experiments:
(1)The difference arising from weight changes was not seen in the observation of character frequencies.
(2)The numerical difference of wave forms arising from attenuation half-life was not observed by each weight.
(3)Although the situations of the amplitude of half-life were electrically observed, the reaction to each weight was fixed.
From these things, when seen from mechanical and electrical experiment results of attenuation half-life and character frequency, the experimented shaft showed the regular and stable reaction or behavior to every weight, and it turned out that the reproducibility of an unbending function is high. Since it leads to the accurate flight of a ball, this high reproducibility can be said to be an important factor for a club shaft.
