The questionnaire about the physical education was carried out to the 4th and 5th grade students. The conteuts are about their likes and dislikes of sports, their daily sporting activities, existence of confidence in their physical strength, and so on. Moreover, the author observed how much their concern to the physical education would be reflected in actual lessons by correlation analysis with the teacher's evaluation of them. Consequently, the following were known : 1. As to likes and dislikes of sports, many 4th and 5th graders chose categories 4 and 3, and the rate was as high as 65% to 72%. They can be said to be sports-loving people in general. 2. In the reply to the question "What do you ask for the physical education?" many 4th and 5th graders thought of the physical education as a place of refreshment, i.e., a place for a change. As for the rate, both grades exceeded 50%. 3. About the sporting activities other than those in the physical education and the activity time, 50% of the 5th graders answered they do no sporting activities, and activity time of the others was less than 30 minutes. Consequently, sporting activities pose a problem for upper graders. 4. To the question "Do you have confidence in your physical strength?" the level of 50% of the 4th and 5th graders answered "Medium". 5. As for the correlation of upper graders' consciousness about the physical education and the evaluation of their achievement in the physical education, it turned out to be significant by 0. 1% to 5% in the 4 classes out of the 8.
