Optical property of polymer alloys comprising regioregular-poly(3-hexylthiophene-2,5-diyil) (rr-P3HT) and an insulating matrix of poly(butyl methacrylate) (PBMA), polyvinyl acetate (PVAc), or polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) was evaluated. In PBMA + rr-P3HT mixed films, crystallization of rr-P3HT was decreased with increase of PBMA ratio, which showed that PBMA acted as ‘good solvent’ for rr-P3HT in polymer alloy. Moreover, rr-P3HT + polystyrene (PS) mixed films were stretched at 140℃ and optical property of stretched films was evaluated. By stretching these films, rr-P3HT in polymer alloy was sufficiently aligned along stretched direction.
