Abstract
In this study,I observed a high school broadcasting club produce videos on the
assumption that videos can be part of cultural resources of a community, and club
members can establish a significant relationship with their community by producing
videos.
I also conducted a questionnaire survey. The respondents were the club members
who took part in the video production, and members of broadcasting clubs of other
schools.
The results show that the members who participated in the production have not
only improved media literacy but also greater interest in their local community.
Next,I invited local residents to a video screening, and conducted another questionnaire
survey afterwards. The results show that local residents have great expectation
for video production by high school students, while they want more careful arrangements
before interviews.
