Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the narratives of users at work continuation support type-B offices. The subsequent aim is to clarify the factors that promote the improvement of users’ QWL. In this study, we conducted an interview survey with users of business establishments. We then performed a Mayring qualitative content analysis on verbatim data. As a result of the analysis, 5 coding units were generated as driving factors for improving users’ QWL. Furthermore, the coded units were classified into three categories: [importance of earning money and continuing to add to savings from the workplace], [importance of cooperation between staff and environment improvement], and [importance of maintaining motivation for work]. From the results of this research, five points were clarified as factors that promote users’ employment: (1) not only earning money but continuing to save money, (2) utilization of groups, (3) existence of peer support, (4) enrichment of private life, and (5) regular life. It can be seen that these are factors that promote the continuation of employment, which clarifies part of the mutual complementarity between QWL and QOL.
