Abstract
Since Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are universal, consisting of 17 goals, localization of goals is crucial. Local communities need to adjust SDGs to their context, setting the mid- and long-term goals. With a focus on regional revitalization, the government develops Japan’s SDGs model by selecting municipalities as the ”SDGs Future Cities,” since their proposals were highly evaluated to achieve SDGs.In this study, the project management method using 17 goals in these cities is analyzed, mainly from the viewpoint of profiling management. In the implementation of the SDGs, the importance of a comprehensive and integrated approach is stressed. This study also clarifies how these goals are interconnected with each other and utilized in platform management and index management.
