In recent years, the use of information technology has become widespread in the field of sports. The use and analysis of information technology in practice and games has been used to improve and enhance the performance of players. This movement is similar in rugby, and the use of information technology has been adopted by domestic and foreign teams. In this study, we measured the match data of the Rissho University rugby team using GPS, analyzed the factors of player performance, team strategy and tactics, wins and losses, and goals scored, and attempted to clarify the relationship between them. As a result, it became clear that increasing the work rate, which is the ratio of total running distance to total running time, was a contributing factor to victory.
