Abstract
An equipment planning method for production plant systems is proposed. The plant is modeled into a queueing network, which is inversely solved by a combination of approximate numerical solution algorithm for queueing networks and simulated annealing. The method is applied to planning a semiconductor production plant. Computational results are discussed.
