Abstract
Pulsed power technology has been used in pulsed wire discharge and pulsed ion-beam evaporation for preparation of various thin films and nanosized powders. Recently, these methods enabled us to synthesize novel materials including nanosized powders of Si and Ni-Fe-O which exhibited blue light emission in air for more than a year and abnormal resistivity change, respectively. In this review, we describe details of the synthesis of the materials and focus on the uniqueness of these methods.
