Five electrical and information related institutes* and the National Institute of Informatics (NII) have created a web database on the history of Japanese electrical technologies. The Database on Noteworthy Japanese Contributions to Electrical Technologies (DB-JET) is filled with content that should be of interest to professional engineers and the general public.
This article outlines DB-JET and gives a brief history of its development, especially the contribution of IEEJ.
