Abstract

Recently, it has been shown that cancer is able to be treated by nanosecond pulsed high electric field. We are studying the cancer treatment applying the electric field by electromagnetic wave. In this study, we have investigated effect on cancer cells by a high frequency and high intensity burst pulse. As a result, a cell shape change wasn’t observed in HeLa-S3 cancer cells at applying 30 MHz. However, blebbing on the cells was observed at applying 130 MHz.
