抄録
As an explanation to read papers of the special issue, this paper shows at first how unfriendly the present Japanese railway services are and then proposes how railway electrical engineers should improve their ways of work; from realising not only the task given but also proposing what would improve services to passengers and to our world. Why railway electrical engineers should propose to improve other transportation fields than railways is also shown.
