In recent years, the boost converter system with compact and light weight performance have been required in the Hybrid Electric Vehicle and Electric Vehicle applications. To obtain the miniaturization performance for the passive circuit component, such as the inductor and the smoothing capacitor, the multi-phase method boost chopper circuit with the coupled inductor have been proposed and discussed. In this paper, the optimum control design technique of the multi-phase method boost chopper circuit with the coupled inductor is proposed.
