Performance Improvement of Voltage-Fed Three Phase Soft Switching Inverter with a New Resonant DC Link Snubber

Abstract

This paper presents a voltage source soft switching space voltage vector modulated inverter which incorporates two types of soft commutations; lossless snubber capacitor single operating scheme and active auxiliary resonant DC link snubber scheme. The operating principle of soft commutation is described. In addition, the effectiveness of its improved soft switching scheme is proven on the basis of simulation data.
