Abstract
In this paper, thrust characteristics of a linear pulse motor for the use of automatic doors driven by 2-phase excitation are computed using the 3-D finite element method. The effectiveness of this calculation is verified through the comparison with the measured results. The influences of the excitation control on the thrust characteristics are investigated. Furthermore, the influences of loads on dynamic performances are investigated.
