In order to develop the environment-friendly transformer, the rapeseed ester oil which is vegetable oil was selected as the new insulating oil and various characteristics of rapeseed ester oil were investigated experimentally.
These results showed that the basic characteristics of rapeseed ester oil surpasses as compared with mineral oil.
