Economic Load Dispatch Considering Dynamics between Generator Output and Fuel Cost

Abstract

In Economic Load Dispatch, one of the most prevailing models is a quadratic model describing a fuel cost as a quadratic function of generator output. It has been pointed out the necessity to consider the dynamics between generator output and a fuel cost. In this paper, we propose a new approach composed of modeling and optimization in order to consider the dynamics, and verify its effectiveness by a simple simulation.
