The demand and supply control in a power system is based on the acquisition and forecasting of the system data. Penetration of wind-power generation and photovoltaic generation could make the data acquisition and forecast more difficult. Therefore, further development in the time-series data analysis and forecasting techniques would be requested. This paper reports the recent trend in this area.
