Sensor Array of Gas/Odor Sensor

Abstract

In gas/odor sensing system, an array of sensors with partially overlapping specificities is often used. Its output pattern is recognized by a pattern recognition technique, which enables gas/odor discrimination. This principle is described and a variety of gas/odor sensing devices are introduced. Thereafter, the basics of typical pattern recognition techniques are shown so that novices can learn their fundamental matters.
