Abstract

In this study, we attempted to fabricate a microneedle device with a through-type transverse hole and a luer connector using only injection molding, aiming to lower the cost and improve the hermetic reliability of the microneedle compared to previous studies. In addition, a prototype of simpler puncture applicator was fabricated and evaluated. As a result, fabricated microneedles had very sharp tips and cleanly shaped transverse holes. Furthermore, the applicator was able to reliably puncture and inject the drug into the skin tissue. It was also confirmed that the microneedles were strong enough at this time.
