訂正日: 2008/12/09 訂正理由: - 訂正箇所: 論文抄録訂正内容: Wrong : The vectorcardiogram, recorded with Frank lead system, was examined in 161 cases of atrial septal defect (ASD) of ostium secundum type, 145 cases of ventricular septal defect (VSD), 89 cases of tetralogy of Fallot (TF), 7 cases of tricuspid atresia (TA), and 10 cases of transposition of the great vessels (TGV).
(1) That peculiar pattern of the QRS loop which was ordinarily recognized in persistent atrio-ventricular canal (AVC) was observed in 5 patients with ASD of ostium secundum type (3.1%), 7 cases with VSD (4.3%), 2 cases with TF (2.2%), 4 cases with TA (57%), and 4 cases with TGV (40%).
(2) ASD of ostium secundum type can be differentiated from AVG on the basis of direction of initial vector in the frontal plane.
(3) Severe right ventricular hypertrophy, unusual in AVC, is associated with TF.
(4) In TA, directions of terminal vector in the frontal plane, maximum vector in the horizontal plane, and initial vector in the sagittal plane were remarkably different from those of AVC.
(5) Interventricular communications, found in uncomplicated VSD and TGV, were regarded as defects of AVG type.
Right : As far as the counterclockwise frontal loop directed superiorly and to the left is concerned, persistent common atrioventricularc anal is the most common cardiac anomaly encountered. However, there are many lesions other than atrio-ventricular canal which present this peculiar vectorcardiographic pattern. In the present study, vectorcardiograms showing this peculiar pattern of atrial septal defect (ostium secundum type), ventricular septal defect, tetralogy of Fallot, tricuspid atresia, and transposition of the great vessels were analyzed. In addition, several points of prime importance, necessary for differentiation, were emphasized.

As far as the counterclockwise frontal loop directed superiorly and to the left is concerned, persistent common atrioventricularc anal is the most common cardiac anomaly encountered. However, there are many lesions other than atrio-ventricular canal which present this peculiar vectorcardiographic pattern. In the present study, vectorcardiograms showing this peculiar pattern of atrial septal defect (ostium secundum type), ventricular septal defect, tetralogy of Fallot, tricuspid atresia, and transposition of the great vessels were analyzed. In addition, several points of prime importance, necessary for differentiation, were emphasized.
