韓国絵本『天女銭湯』の日本語訳に見られる方言翻訳の問題

This article examines a Japanese version of “Fairy in Bath Jangsutang” originally published in Korea in 2012. The Japanese translation, published in 2016 with the title “The Bath Fairy,” employs a Kansai dialect although the original text is written in standard Korean. How can we make sense of the “dialect” translation? In the article, I try to clarify this issue in reference to picture books.
