Abstract
Ericulture practices in India are described in the first part of this monograph. Then, prospects of Ericulture in Cambodia are considered. In the first part, history of Ericulture in India, and current status of Ericulture in northeastern India is described. The value of pupae of Eri silkworm as human food in addition to the value of Eri silk cocoons is pointed out. Life cycle of Eri silkworm, host plants for Ericulture and cultivation and disease control and pest management, rearing methods of Eri silkworm, and Eri silkworm pupae as human food, Eri seed production are described. Based on this, prospects for introduction of Ericulture into Cambodia are considered.
