“Ozin” (trade name) has been widely used as a binder for cores of casting, but by using it for hardening the surface of mould, the author has obtained very good results for some recent years.
He has assured that the gases decomposed from “Ozin” by the heat of melt during casting, gave no bad influence to casting, as a result of the experiments-gas-analysis and mechanical testing.
“Ozin” is the disused solution produced by pulp manufacturing, and therefore, the above mentioned is one of the he means of utilization of disused materials.
He is to explain how “Ozin” used effectively, and its influence to casting.
