Computer simulation system of molten metal flow in die casting process has been developed.
The following analysis method has been developed :
(i) viscous-flow analysis method considering the viscosity change by solidification and airpressure remaining in the die cavity.
(ii) numerical treatment method of 3-dimensional complex shapes
(iii) prediction method for die casting defects.
The simulation results of complicated and large die-casting parts are being successfully applied industrially.
