Abstract
The Joint Study Unit of Medical Laborants of the National Sanatoria in Tohoku District of Japan tested the serological examinations for hemolytic streptococcus infection on the same material at several institutes and discussed exact control of ASLO test.
The results were as follows:
1. On the use of pipets, as the standard rule of the serological test, there were inadequate choice of pipets.
2. The unity of the technical factors caused the stable results.
3. There was little difference between the use of rabbit and human erythrocytes.
4. On the density of the erythrocyte-suspension, the perfect hemolytic inhibity point was just the same between 2 per cent and 5 per cent.
5. On present methods, the reaction time for neutralization required 5 minutes prolongation.
6. The activation of ASLO test showed a sign of decreased in 90 minutes.
7. There was 11 cases (45%) of abnormal titter in ASLO test out of 245 cases of student nurses.
