Abstract
Aspirated foreign bodies are usually promptly diagnosed and removed. Occasionally, however, diagnosis may be delayed for weeks or years prior to the discovery of an intrabronchial foreignbody. This case was 4 years prior to discover of an intrabronchial foreign body.
Case: 12-years-old boy
About two years ago the patient was first admitted to a hospital, because of the hemo ptysis and cough with sudden onset. He received treatment for about one month without effect, then patient was admitted to our sanatorium' for further examination and treatment. He was diagnosed as the bronchiectasis of Bio on the right by chest X-ray and bronchography, for which right lower lobectomy was perfomed. Surgical specimen was examined histologically and tissue of plants was found microscopically.
The final diagnosis was foreign body bronchiectasis.
