Abstract
A clinical assist software, Labsearch, which is a computer software and used for diagnosis based on clinical tests, has been applied for Japanese clinical situations. This software is commercially available for education for students and post-graduates and not for the real clinical practice. However, this program has a database consisted of 502 examinations and 3500 diseases and could be used in the clinical practice for an assist tool. In this study, this program has been used in PC 9801 under an emulation software. The way of using this program is only by selecting two abnormal examinations. But, clinical experience was necessary to select two from various examinations.
Since by this program, a computer assisted system can be easily experienced, this may be a software which should be used more frequently in Japanease clinical practice.
