The effect of core training on exercise performance

Abstract
[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to clarify which item of general fitness measurement item that core training not considering exercise tasks will give effect.[Subjects and Methods] We targeted 35 healthy adult men and women without exercise habits.We conducted five types of isometric core training twice a week for 4 weeks (8 times in total) and compared measured values before and after the core training intervention.For the comparison of the average values, a paired t-test was carried out and the significance level was set to less than 0.05.[Results] In males, a significant improvement in recording was observed for 50m running, repeated lateral jump, 10m tandem walking.In the total of female and male and female, significant improvement in record was recognized only by 10m tandem walking.[Conclusion] It was suggested that the exercise performance is effective by matching the muscle, contraction style and training according to the movement characteristics of the task to be solved.
