Abstract
[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors related to the continuity of prevention care classes for community-dwelling older adults. [Participants and Methods] A questionnaire survey was conducted among 38 participants (9 men and 29 women, mean age 73.1 years) from our class, and their responses regarding reasons for attending the class were converted into text format (.txt). Text mining was then performed using KHCoder. Frequent words were extracted, categorization was conducted, and a co-occurrence network was created.[Results] In the process of categorization, responses were divided mainly into factors related to the improvement of physical function and factors related to psychological stability. In the co-occurrence network, ”good ” occupied the central position and was strongly associated with ”classroom, ” ”atmosphere, ” and ”teacher. ” [Conclusion] To continue running the prevention care classes, it is important to create an atmosphere that provides effective exercise and psychological security.
